More Than 12 Million Tourists in Turkey During the First 5 Months of 2022

According to data from Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of visitors arriving for tourism in Turkey reached 12,710,431 tourists during the first five months of this year 2022.

During the aforementioned period, the rate of visits by foreign tourists to Turkey increased by 207.10% compared to the same period last year.

According to data released by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, during the first five months of this year, foreign tourists reached 11,301,602, while the number of Turkish tourists from outside Turkey reached 1,408,829.

Germans Topped the List of Foreign Nationalities Visiting Turkey

The statement issued by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey indicated that Germans topped the list of foreign visitors coming for tourism in Turkey in 2022.

In this context, the number of German tourists during the first five months of the current world reached 1,308,721, with 367.24% of the overall tourist rate, compared to other foreign visitors during the first five months of last year.

Bulgarian visitors came second, with 945,976 visitors, followed by Russian tourists with 853,590.
