Turkish Airlines Achieves the Diamond Standard of the Health and Safety Category

Turkish Airlines (THY) was ranked 'Diamond', the highest level in the health and safety category, in the assessment conducted by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) and the International Research Institute (SimpliFlying) on travel, aviation security, and air transport.

According to a statement by the Anadolu Agency, Turkish Airlines has become one of the airlines that have made the largest number of flights since the COVID-19 epidemic.

Answering questions about 75 of the ten categories in the audit form opened in this online assessment, on which airlines are classified as 'Gold', 'Platinum' and 'Diamond', Turkish Airlines THY was ranked highest in the APEX assessment for the safe travel experience, provided in epidemic conditions, and comprehensive hygiene measures offered by the APEX.

With the spread of the Corona epidemic, several comprehensive precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the 'diamond' standard on Turkish Airlines, starting with onboard social distancing, at-entrance temperature measurement, Covid-19 test services at the airport, additional cleaning procedures, flight hygiene, and hygiene kits for all passengers.

As the current pandemic continues, measures to be taken by all airlines participating in the assessment will be examined every three months and will be monitored.

It is worth noting that Turkish Airlines won the APEX World 5-Star Airline Award in September 2019, and in February of the same year, it also got two awards from England and Ireland in finance.
